The Thai baht is the currency for Thailand.

The currency code for the Thai baht is THB. The currency symbol used is ฿.

The Thai baht has always been the currency of Thailand since the Sukhothai period. However, it was known as the tical until the late 19th century.

In 1998 the baht was floated and lost half its value. It has since recovered some of that loss.
